IRIS IRP is an API Platform and all services for taxpayers can be consumed via APIs. To ensure proper authorisation is in place and taxpayers are informed about the activities being done via APIs, different methods of user authentication are followed.

API Authorisation will be validated.
Onboarding APIs Any API integrator
  • Mobile of email (of
    the user using partner’s application)
  • Portal ID assigned to
    partner
As the user is already onboarded with
partner, verification of mobile and email is done by partner
Other VAS APIs API integrator who has not onboarded the

Taxpayer

  • User ID (as
    registered on IRIS IRP – email or mobile)
  • Portal ID assigned to
    partner
  • OTP that is sent to
    user
Other VAS APIsAPI integrator who has onboarded the

  • Mobile of email (of
    the user using partner’s application)
  • Portal ID assigned to
    partner
